At Least 6 Dead After a School Bus Accident in Chattanooga, Tennessee

At least six children were killed in a school bus accident in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Monday.

The bus was carrying 35 children ranging in age from kindergarten to fifth grade. Authorities could not immediately provide a specific number of people killed.

The bus slammed into a tree, which sliced the bus in half. At least 23 people were transported to local hospitals after the single-vehicle accident.

The driver is cooperative and talking to police.

The exact cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
