California Will Now Require Rear Facing Car Seats For Children Under Age 2


rear facing car seatCalifornia will now require rear facing car seats for children under the age of 2.

Governor Jerry Brown has signed measures this week, requiring children younger than 2 years of age to travel in a rear facing car seat.

AB 53 is the bill assembled by Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia, does not apply to children that weigh more that 40 pounds or 40 inches or taller.

The new law will go into effect on January 1, 2017.

The law is placed for to protect children in any form of car accident.
