The incident occurred Saturday afternoon when a 2-year-old American Bulldog mistook a group of children playing as aggressive action and attacked.

The dog initially attacked one child and two other children tried to help, but the dog attacked the two others as well.

Two boys and a girl ranging between the ages of 3 to 16, suffered puncture wounds and tears to the arms and legs from the accident.

One of the three children was flown to San Diego for medical treatment.

The dog is was held in quarantine while the incident is under investigation.

If the investigation reveals this is not the first attack the dog has made, then the owner may face charges.
