Driver Arrested After Hit And Run With Bicyclist in Anaheim

The accident occurred 6:45 a.m. when a 17-year-old male driver struck a 33-year-old bicyclist at the intersection of West Sycamore and North Clementine streets.

The cyclist sustained head and leg injuries and was transported to a local trauma center. He was reported to be in critical, but stable condition.

According to authorities, the young male driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and felony hit and run.

Police were discovered an abandoned Mitsubishi Eclipse that was believed to be involved in the accident at a nearby street near the accident scene.
