Four Injured after Police Pursuit Ends In Car Accident in Santa Ana

Police Pursuit, car accidentFour people were injured after a police pursuit ended in a car accident in Santa Ana on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. after officers attempted to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation. However, the vehicle failed to stop which then initiated the pursuit.

Less than a minute after the chase was initiated, the vehicle crashed into a pole at the intersection of South Flower Street and West Wilshire Avenue.

There were four people inside the vehicle, two males and two females, who were all transported to the hospital. Their conditions were unknown.

The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody and is expected to face charges of felony probation and failure to yield.


Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved. However, there have been concerns about the safety and necessity of police pursuits.
