Irvine Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With Big Rig in San Bernardino


Motorcyclist killed in collision with big rigAn Irvine motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a big rig in San Bernardino Sunday evening.

The incident occurred around 4:56 p.m. at the 18 freeway and All View Drive in Running Springs.

The 20-year-old semi truck driver failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the 63-year-old motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist was unable to stop in time and struck the right side of the big rig and was run over by the rear wheels.

According to coroner officials, the motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident.

The truck driver was booked for investigation of vehicular manslaughter and his bail is set at $1 million.
