Kraft Recalls 36,000 Cases of Cheese For Possible Choking Hazard

Kraft is has recalled approximately 36,000 cases of individually-wrappKraft recall, cheeseed cheese singles due to possible choking hazard.

The recall was issued after 10 complaints were made and three reports of choking were made due to the package film.

According to Kraft, the film may stick to the slice of cheese, potentially causing a choking hazard.

The company is issuing a recall for 3 and 4 pound packages of American and white American slices with “best when used by” dates between December 29, 2015 and January 4, 2016. The manufacturing code to look for are “S54” or “S55”.

The affected products have been distributed to the United States, Puerto Rico, and Grand Cayman.

Any consumers who have purchased the product should return it to the stores for an exchange or refund.

Product recalls should always be taken seriously. Just a few months ago Kraft was recalling boxes of their Mac and Cheese for possible metal contamination.
