A 27-year-old man from Cypress, passed away following an accident in Anaheim on the morning of October 13th. The crash occurred in the intersection of West Ball Road and Western Avenue during peak morning commute traffic. The accident involved a pickup truck and a sedan. The rider was thrown off of his motorcycle upon impact.
He was transported to a nearby hospital where he died later that morning. At this time, police have not charged any of the drivers involved in the crash.
Our thoughts are with the motorcyclist’s family and friends.
Over the years, there have been many fatal accidents at this Anaheim intersection. There are certain infrastructure changes that could make it safer for nearby residents and commuters alike.
Motorcyclists are more vulnerable than drivers in a crash. Many of us at the firm are riders too, so we regularly talk about the importance of drivers being AWARE – not only of the cars around them, but also of the motorcyclists and bicyclists on the roads. The more drivers are aware the safer our streets will be.
