A 17-year-old boy is fighting for his life after a serious skateboarding accident in San Diego.
The accident occurred on July 2nd, when the young teen took a bad fall while skateboarding with his friends in Carlsbad.
The fall had made him fall smacking the back of his head so hard that his brain hit the front and became bruised.
A nearby neighbor called 911 while a driver blocked traffic with their truck.
The boy was airlifted to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.
The victim’s parents explained the boy’s head was swelling too much and had to have the right side of his skull removed.
Doctor’s plan to take his feeding tubes and surgically place them into his stomach.
They plan to wake the boy when and if he is ready.
However, as of now doctors are keeping the boy in a medically induced coma.
The boy’s mother claimed her son was not wearing a helmet at the time of his accident.
